Read article : Bed Bath and Beyond Wedding Registry (Review)
Name:
Bed Bath & Beyond
Store Description:
Bed Bath & Beyond is a home store that features everything from pots and pans to art work. You can also find, as the store's name indicates, bed linens and bath towels and accessories. The store, in fact, is stuffed to the brim with goods, including candy and some snacks and necessities, such as toothpaste and soap.
Store Review:
The prices - and the abundance of coupons that arrive via snail mail and in publications - are what I like best about Bed Bath & Beyond.
You can get name brands, such as Kitchen Aid, Cuisinart, and Mikasa at bargain prices. But if you're looking for fancy serving pieces or luxurious accessories, this is not the right store for you. While you can find some china and crystal, there's not much of it and it's not the best of the best.
Wedding Registry:
The wedding registry at Bed Bath & Beyond can be completed in one of the stores or online. You'll get a discount that can be used once online and once in the store to complete your registry anytime up to three months after your wedding. (Most competitors offer discounts for at least six months after the wedding.) You can also create anniversary and birthday registries, which seems strange. Still, personal wedding sites and the ability to return gifts to stores near you make the registry practical.
Best Shopping Finds:
Spatulas, spoons, measuring cups, cutting boards and the rest of the kitchen gadgets you'll need are available at Bed Bath and Beyond, usually as soon as you walk in the door.
What you might not realize is that you can also find affordable but pretty end tables, benches (for the bathroom or foot of the bed), entrance tables, and lamp sets.
Ideal Shopper:
Practical couples with a casual style who plan to cook in their own kitchen often will appreciate Bed Bath & Beyond. Its discounts and coupons make it the ideal home store for couples living on a budget.
Anyone looking to entertain can find ways to spruce up their space and serve a lot of people without spending a fortune. But anyone who wants unique home finds or more luxurious, expensive items should look elsewhere.
History:
Bed Bath & Beyond is a chain of retail stores that sell goods for the home across the United States and Canada. The store also operates under the names Christmas Tree Shops, Harmon, Harmon Face Values, and buybuy Baby, according to the company Web site. With over 1,000 Bed Bath & Beyond stores, the company is counted among the Fortune 500 and Forbes 2000.
Store Promise:
"Newlyweds will enjoy not only the huge selection and great values, but most importantly the service offered by our associates. Each department is like a store within a store and is staffed with knowledgeable sales associates who can assist newlyweds as they continue to turn a whole bunch of mismatched mine and yours into a lifetime of ours," writes Catherine Gentile, Bed Bath & Beyond spokesperson, in an e-mail.
