2 Ingredient Neon Bath Paint RecipeSometimes when you have more than one child, it can be hard finding any activities that both of your kids can do together. One activity that is fun and most kids of all ages love is bath time! Because my daughter is one there’s not a whole lot of crafts that she can help her brother with, who is 3. So when it comes to bath time I’m always looking for ways to make it more fun. One of our favorite bath time activities is painting, I have two different recipes that are safe for babies who still tend to put things in their mouth and one for older children. What’s great about doing an art project in the tub is it’s easy clean up, and they can get a bath afterwards.

We’ve been working on upgrading our bathroom and had the new Sterling Prevail bath doors installed this past week. I love the sleek design and the installation was easy! You can see the before and after photo below! The Sterling Prevail doors with the ComforTrack technology are available for both bath doors and shower doors.

For our baby safe version of the Neon Bath Paint click here.

You’ll need the following:

Directions: First grab a cupcake pan and fill each circle with shaving cream. Put a few drops of your neon food coloring in the shaving cream. Next mix the colors, the kids love helping with this step and mixing their own color combinations. And finally…let them have some fun in the tub!

As for clean up, the food coloring doesn’t stain at all. And our Sterling Prevail doors make cleaning any bath time art super easy, I just turned on the shower to drain all of the paint and did a quick wipe down of the tub and we were ready for bath time! undefined

Our Sterling shower doors with ComforTrack technology have a cushioned threshold that bends to applied pressure, so that I am able to kneel, sit, or lean on the track, making it easier and more comfortable to bathe my kids, access the shower, or clean the bathing/showering space.

Why I Would Love A Sterling Prevail Shower Doors

I just read an article that said you should not bathe your kids every night. (Well unless they are running around all day getting sweaty.) I was so relieved to read that because I have a son that does not like to take showers. I have to give him an ultimatum before he actually takes a shower. My two other kids would take a few baths a day if I let them.

When he finally does take a shower he leaves the shower curtain outside the shower and that creates a mini flood in the bathroom. I really don’t like shower curtains – they just make things messy.

Sterling Prevail Shower Doors can solve this problem. It has a flexible track, which is comfortable, easy to clean, and a smart addition to any showering space. It is great for bathing kids, washing dogs, lolling in the bath with your feet up, etc. (All the stuff you can’t do with a hard shower track.)

Now my kids can lean over the side of the bath tub and they don’t ave to worry about hitting their face on the metal track. You can even kneel, sit or lean on the threshold. This makes it easy to bathe a child or clean the bathing space.

I also love that there is a towel bar on the outside of the door – it makes it so much easier for my son to dry off before he steps out of the shower.

You can purchase Sterling shower doors with ComforTrack technology for both your bath doors and shower doors. The Sterling Prevail shower door is a great addition to my shower because it keeps keep my bathroom dryer and looks great!

Sterling shower doors with ComforTrack technology

There is nothing worse than when you are leaning over the tub to give your kids a bath and you are leaning on hard metal. This is extremely uncomfortable. I can not tell you how many times that one of our kids has slipped and hit their shins on the hard metal. What bruises they got!

ComforTrack’scushioned threshold bends to applied pressure, allowing the user to kneel, sit, or lean on the track, making it easier and more comfortable to bathe a child or a pet, access the shower, or clean the bathing/showering space.

Sterling Prevail shower doors with the ComforTrack technology are available for BOTH bath doors and shower doors. This new technology is not only flexible, it is extremely durable – its heavy-duty material withstands rigorous testing, ensuring that it will outlast day-to-day wear and tear. What’s more, the track features a low profile and sleek shape that is easy to keep clean.

This innovation is truly a win-win for today’s homeowner! What are some of your bathroom routines that would be easier with new Sterling Prevail shower doors? Please leave a comment below. I’d love to hear how this ComforTrack technology would improve your life!

Bath Time with Skye & The Sterling Prevail: Your Shower Door Solution

Read article : Bath Time with Skye & The Sterling Prevail: Your Shower Door Solution

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Sterling for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.

One of my favorite times of day is a Mom is bath time. For all three of my kiddos, something magical happens once the water starts running. Even the crankiest toddler is instantly transformed into a laughing, squealing delight that makes you forget that they just drew all over your kitchen wall after dumping out a whole box of crackers on the floor.

Of course, bath time with the boys has long passed – but what fun we had back in the day.undefined

These days, Skye and I really love to get our splash on. Sometimes it feels like the tub is so full of toys that there is barely room for her. She loves to arrange her ABCs on the back wall, loudly shouting the letters as she go. My girl has a passion for her ABCs and numbers that reminds me so much of her big brother Christian.

When we’re done with letters, we usually move on to pouring. Tea party in the tub anyone?

While I love shower time with Skye, sitting on a metal shower door is NOT my idea of a good time.

It’s just the kind of thing that Mom’s need – whether they are bathing kids, washing dogs or just want 10 minutes of peace with their feet up. It has a ComforTrack with a cushioned threshold that bends to pressure, allowing you to sit, kneel or lean on the track.

The new technology is both flexible and durable. No worries about it wearing out quickly. Also important: it is easy to clean, making it a smart addition to any showering space.

Sterling shower doors with ComforTrack technology are available for both bath doors and shower doors, so whatever your needs are, they’ve got you covered.

Keeping Bath Time Fun For Everyone

Read article : Keeping Bath Time Fun For Everyone

This post brought to you by Sterling. The content and opinions expressed below are that of Happy Hour Projects.

You may have seen my photos recently about our bathroom makeover, and we had to make a lot of choices about what needed to be upgraded, what would give us the most convenience in our small main floor bathroom, and what we just plain wanted.  We ended up with a vanity overhaul and some new fixtures, but one thing we’re still making decisions about is the tub and shower.  I’d really like to get a shower door – it lets in so much more light than a curtain, and it gives the whole bathroom a sleeker and more contemporary look.  We had nearly decided against it, until I read up about the new Sterling shower doors with ComforTrack technology.

undefined

Do you have a shower door?  I did in my last house, and I LOVED it…  before children, that is.  When you’re spending a good portion of the evening bent over the edge of the tub washing hair and playing with ducks, the last thing you want is to be leaning over a hard shower track, which was why I was planning to wait until everyone is older to upgrade to a shower door.  But Prevail’s ComforTrack bends under pressure, so you’re not getting jabbed in the ribs while you bathe your kiddos (or your pets).  The low profile is easy to clean, it’s extremely durable,  and you can get it on both bath doors and shower doors, making it something to consider if you’re shopping like we are.  So suddenly, I’ve got the option of the beautiful bathroom I want AND the practical side of bath time in Sterling Prevail!  Awesome, right?

When we were growing up, we didn’t even have a shower, just an old claw-foot tub.  I’m serious!  So even to this day, I’m a bath-a-holic.  I don’t get as much time to relax in the bath as I used to, but I still enjoy a bath on the weekends every now and again.  Mostly, bath time is a fun time for my kids.  We have our fair share of water everywhere, of course, but that’s to be expected with a 1 year old and 4 year old!  It’s gotten SO much easier, though, since we tried the laundry basket hack for little man.  Have you seen this?

Laundry Basket Bathtub Parenting Hack at www.happyhourprojects.com

If your bathtub is still a pretty big place for your small kids, try putting an empty laundry basket in the bathtub, along with all their toys.  They don’t have to contend with a slippery tub, they’ve got less room to topple over, and in the smaller space, their toys don’t float away either.  It’s genius!  I’ve been able to relax a lot more as I supervise, and it’s been a lot more fun for my son, too, to have the whole family of ducks at an arm’s length at any time.

Do you have any great tips, hacks, or routines for bath time at your house?  Anything smart you do with the kids, or ways to enjoy a nice grown-up bath?  I’d love to hear about what bath time means to you!
