Hand Held Bidet Shower Bathroom Kitchen Hygeian Faucet

A bidet shower (bidet spray, bidet sprayer, or health faucet, sometimes colloquially called a "bum gun") is a hand-held triggered nozzle,
similar to that on a kitchen sink sprayer, that delivers a spray of water to assist in anal cleansing and cleaning the genitals after defecation and urination.

KCASA Manual Operation Toilet Seat Bidet Cleaning Shattaf Bathroom Hand Held Shower Head

Description:

The head of this bidet has 7 holes and a copper spool build in and it can provide three different water flows, mild, mudium, large mode.

When you push the switch with your thumb, the water flow will change until you find the most suitable water flow mode.

7 holes design can effectively increase water volume and reduce water pressure that can avoid skin irritation.

Groove design makes it easy and comfortable to take by hand and prevent slipping.

5 layer plating treatment can effectively prevent rust and make it elegant.

Usage:

The user typically grasps the faucet in the right hand and uses the thumb or forefinger (depending on the trigger location)
to aim a spray of water at the anus or genitals, sometimes using the left hand (never the right hand in many cultures) or toilet paper to assist cleansing.
Use of the left hand only for cleansing, and considering it unclean in many circumstances in everyday life.

The health faucet is a source of water for people who prefer using water rather than other methods of anal cleansing.
The bidet shower is a relatively modern replacement for the traditional sources of water for this action,
such as the bidet, copper pot or bucket and mug, being more hygienic and compact.
There is no contact between the spray of water and the used water drainage.

Bubble shower saves water

Read article : Bubble shower saves water
Oxygenics Water-Saving ShowerheadCSIRO announced they had developed a device for saving water by introducing bubbles into shower heads. But the technology is not new as claimed; such products have been available for years and even the wording of the media release appears to not be original.

The CSIRO described their work in a media release:

While the general concept of using an aerated showerhead to save water is not new, the technology behind the CSIRO's device is novel.

Developed by a team led by Dr Jie Wu, the aeration device is a small nozzle that fits inside a standard showerhead. The nozzle uses a small Venturi tube - a tube for which the diameter varies, creating a difference in pressure and fluid speed. Air is sucked into the Venturi tube as a result of the partial vacuum created, causing air and water to mix, forming tiny bubbles within the water stream.

From: 'Air shower' set to cut water use by 30 per cent, Media Release 06/223, CSIRO, 9 November 2006

In 2005 I bought an aerating shower head from the Australian business E-Co Shower. As CSIRO describes, the unit sucks in air, and mixes it with the water to give you a shower of bubbles.

As pointed out on PhysOrgForum, what CSIRO announced appears to be very similar to the existing E-Co shower. Even some of the wording of the the CSIRO media release appears similar to the wording of the E-Co web site from 2003:

  1. E-CO : "air and water mixing together causes bubbles"
  2. CSIRO: "air and water to mix, forming tiny bubbles"
Leaving aside the question of who invented what (and who wrote what), such devices work very well. It is difficult to tell the E-Co shower in my bathroom from a normal one. There is a slight tingling sensation, which is pleasant. As well as saving water I suspect the system uses less hot water and keeps the bathroom dryer. This is because there is not the very fine mist you get from many low flow shower heads.

Previously I tried a water saving shower head. When on the high setting this produced a narrow jet of water. I had to move around it the shower to get my whole body wet and the force of the water was almost painful. On low setting it produced a fine mist which did not seem to wet the body. Either way it was not a pleasant result.

The E-Co units seem to be particularly popular with institutions. There is a vandal resistant model which just has a small hole for the water to come out of, instead of the usual rose pattern. The unit is only about 20mm wide and 40mm long and can be securely connected to the pipe coming from the wall. As a result there is little for anyone to vandalize.

Also there is the Oxygenics shower head. I am not sure I believe the health claims for the "oxygenated" spray, but it seems to operate on the same principle as the E-Co and CSIRO units and they have a clever animation showing how it works.

Diagram of of Oxygenics showerhead

The innovative technology behind Oxygenics® is based on the Venturi Principle. As water enters the base of the showerhead, it is propelled through an accelerator fin to increase the velocity of the water flow. It is then directed through a channel where oxygen is injected into water. The result? Phenomenal coverage and a continuous range of sensations - from a soft relaxing spray to a deep, therapeutic massage to everything in between. Are you ready to be wowed? Get ready for a healthy, powerful, oxygenated spray!

From: Oxygenics, 2007

The only innovation in the CSIRO approach seems to be that it is an adapter designed to be added to a normal shower head whereas E-Co make a complete shower head. E-Co make an adapter for hand-held showers and basins. E-Co include testimonials from Canberra residents and from the Department of Defence, so it it difficult to believe that CSIRO didn't know of it.

There is also a US Patent for such a device from 1978, complete with diagram:

The passage of water from conduit 17 and through the chamber within the shower head establishes, in accordance with the Bernoulli, or venturi principle, a low pressure environment within the shower head. The low pressure environment tends to draw ambient air through outlets 20 and 21. The drawn air mixes with the water within the shower head due to the turbulent nature of the flow therein and is ultimately ejected through nozzles 31.

Because the ejected jets of water are mixture of air and water, the spray striking a bather will not have the conventional sting of sharply defined jets of water. Instead, the spray will tend to be "softer" and produce a physiological massaging effect which is very pleasant. Aside from the physiological benefits, the amount of water seemingly necessary to provide the bather with a shower to which he has become accustomed to, consumes approximately one-half of the normal water useage. Thereby, aerator 15 can effect a water savings of approximately 50 percent and yet require no change in habits by the bather nor in any manner curtail or restrict the habits developed from a lifetime of showers."

From: Shower head aerator, Richard Harmony, United States Patent 4072270, February 7, 1978

There are only two things I have found wrong with the E-Co shower: is the price and the web site used to sell it. The price is very high compared to a cheap plastic water saving shower head. But the device is very well made, from solid metal and comparable in price to fashion shower heads. E-Co let the quality of the product down with a poor web site, which makes it hard to buy.

There is also another use for a Venturi in a shower: This is the "Venturi shower", where cold mains pressure water is used to draw hot water from a low pressure tank:

Diagram of venturi shower"High pressure mains cold water is used to "suck" tank pressure hot water through the special venturi valve inside the unit, so that the resulting mixed water comes out at a much greater rate than could be achieved using an electric shower or ordinary shower mixer valve. The venturi shower uses no electrical connections, it simply plumbs straight into the heating system."

How To Choose The Right Showerhead

Read article : How To Choose The Right Showerhead

Like everything else for the bathroom, there are a dizzying array of showerhead choices. Depending on your budget, your taste and the size of your shower space, you can opt for anything from a no-frills, wall-mounted head, a convenient hand-held model or a lavish spa shower with multiple jets and sprays.

Whether you're looking for a basic bathroom fix or a blissful hydrotherapy experience, the first step in selecting your perfect water delivery system is finding out what's available.

You'll find plenty of showerhead options that will fill the bill.

Basic Shower Head Types
Although there are numerous ways to customize your shower, showerheads fall into four basic categories:

1. Standard Wall-Mount Showerheads
If you're on a budget or just want a simple update to an existing bath, a wall-mounted showerhead is your best choice. You can change a wall-mounted head simply by unscrewing the existing part and screwing on a new one. However, be careful not to break the shower arm if you're having trouble unscrewing the old head. To prevent a possible leak, use a pair of pliers or a lubricant like WD-40 to help loosen things up.

Good to Know:

  • Works with existing plumbing
  • Extra features include nozzles that adjust from pulsing massage to gentle mists.
  • Prices begin at around $2 for a plastic single-spray model.

2. Hand-held Showerheads
Thanks to the additional reach and control provided by a three- to six-foot hose, a hand-held shower can help you perform multiple tasks, from bathing kids or the dog to washing your hair to rinsing down your shower enclosure.

Handheld showers are wall mounted and can be loaded with extras. For example, Waterpik offers a model with twin turbo massage jets and six spray patterns.

Good to Know:

  • Works with existing plumbing
  • Great for a family bathroom
  • Use instead of or in combination with a standard shower.
  • Some hand showers are mounted on sliding bars that adjust to various heights.
  • Prices begin at about $37 for a chrome model with six spray settings.

3. Top-Mount Showerheads
Sensual and stylish, top-mounted showerheads - also known as rain showers - are positioned directly over the bather's head for an enjoyably drenching experience. Top-mounted styles can be suspended from a pendant or flush-mounted to the ceiling.

Unlike the easy replacement of a standard head, installing a top-mounted showerhead requires extensive upgrades to existing plumbing.

Choices range from traditional rain shower heads offering a single spray pattern to truly over-the-top models such as the $3,700 WaterTile Ambient Rain by Kohler, a state-of-the-art system with four 22-nozzle heads and a programmable colored light system.

Good to Know:

  • Best for a new home or major bath renovation
  • Can be a great solution for ceilings that are too low for a wall-mount head
  • More affordable rain-style showerheads are available in standard wall-mounted models beginning at around $10; top-mounted models begin at around $500.

4. Body Sprays and Spa Shower Panels
You can recreate the experience of a hydrotherapy spa treatment by adding body sprays or multi-spray shower panels to your bath. These are usually installed in vertical rows on opposite or adjacent walls, providing a crisscrossing water pattern that massages you from head to toe. Body sprays and panels are often combined with other showerheads as part of a semi-custom or custom installation.

Good to Know:

  • Since body sprays require extensive plumbing work, they are best reserved for a complete renovation.
  • Body sprays are usually set at shoulder, hip and knee, so make sure to consider the height of each user to insure the best installation points.
  • Body sprays begin at around $85 per unit.

McLean spa bath wins COTY for remodeler Michael Nash | Articles

Read article : McLean spa bath wins COTY for remodeler Michael Nash | Articles

A spacious master bath renovation in a circa-1990s center hall Colonial has won a “Contractor of the Year” (COTY) award for Michael Nash Design Build and Homes. The recently-completed McLean makeover was named the Washington-area's best residential bathroom in the $25,000-$50,000 category by the National Association of the Remodeling Industry metro DC chapter.

The winning solution successfully converts a 210-square-foot production-house master bathroom into an open, free-flowing spa bath with many cutting-edge amenities. The remodel features a walk-in shower and freestanding pedestal tub artfully situated on river rock flooring. Two custom-designed hanging vanities and several original built-ins provide functional accommodations smoothly integrated into a “transitional style” interior that balances textured surfaces, glass walls and a subtle interplay of colors and tones.

Acknowledging the honor, Michael Nash president and founder Sonny Nazemian, credited his design and production team:

“This is an award about outperforming the limits of a budget,” Nazemian noted. “We collaborate closely with our clients to achieve cost benefits-- exploring creative solutions that will maximize the investment. A COTY always tells me we're doing our job well.”

For homeowners Sunder and Premila Raman who have occupied the four-bedroom Colonial for 22 years, however, the award is also an acknowledgment of many hours researching an ever-evolving catalog of contemporary design styles.

“We didn't add any square footage, yet the bathroom looks and feels substantially larger than its predecessor,” Raman recalls.

“In the previous plan, there was a platform tub in the bay window that absorbed about half of the available floor space, yet the shower was too small. Once we starting looking at alternatives, we were ready for a more luxuriant space.”

Thus motivated, Raman and her daughter spent hours poring over selected web sites and magazine-- even talking with neighbors who had recently remodeled.

It was on a friend's recommendation that Premila Raman wandered into the Michael Nash showroom on Lee Highway, and began browsing and talking with staff designers.

“The showroom is a great resource,” Raman observes. “There are hundreds of displays and samples; I could wander around on my own gathering ideas and taking notes. There was no sales pressure, but when I asked for ideas, I received immediate assistance and very relevant suggestions.”

On this point, Nazemian notes that there are more “decision points” in a bathroom than any other part of the house.

“We've really concentrated on developing an exceptionally experienced interior design staff skilled at helping homeowners discover their personal style,” he adds. “It's our combination of more purchase options and a seasoned talent that gets each new project off to an inspired start.”

For the Ramans, the larger question was: how successfully can a dated, production-house floor plan be transformed into a free-flowing postmodern design while staying strictly within the bathroom's existing footprint?

“We wanted to replace the old shower with a much larger walk-in design that wouldn't require a built-in curb to keep the water in,” the homeowner remembers. “We just weren't sure if this was even possible.”

Nazemian adds:

“To meet the new shower requirements, we removed the platform tub and introduced a subfloor that raised the floor about an inch. The shower is now lower than before, and the sub floor bevels slightly toward a linear drain, so there's no need for a built-in lip around the shower.”

“Of course, this kind of change requires angles that are absolutely precise. Water is always the judge of whether a shower design works well.”

Tucked behind two 7-foot glass walls, the new 3.5-by-7, open shower sits on smooth river rock flooring that connects it visually to a freestanding pedestal tub. There's a small bench at one end, the hand-held shower nozzle within easy reach. Overhead, the stainless steel “waterfall” shower head features a range of body sprays with varied pressures.

The shower's inside wall is finished in soft Brennero Pearl porcelain accented by a glass tile inseam; cubbies designed to hold personal items are within easy reach.

For a still more leisurely bathing experience, the acrylic tub tucked into a three-window bay presents a restful view of the tree tops. Applause window shades can be easily adjusted to screen back light.

For personal use and privacy, the design team replaced the former double sink with a pair of floating vanities, each on a different wall.

Constructed of espresso-colored maple and featuring mission style cabinet facings and white quartz surfaces, the vanities present a clean, linear elegance in a room that is now refreshingly simplified and spacious.

Better yet, the end result fulfills the vision:

“Everything we were promised was delivered,” Premila says. “That's a good feeling.”

What goes into a spa bath that wins a National 'Contractor of the Year' award? | Articles

Read article : What goes into a spa bath that wins a National 'Contractor of the Year' award? | Articles

It's a matter of record that only one National Contractor of the Year (COTY) award was conferred on a Washington-area company in 2017. The winning project is a spa bath in the McLean home of Sunder and Premilla Raman. The project was ranked the nation's best residential bath in the $25,000 to $50,000 range.

The winning remodeler, Michael Nash Design Build and Homes, is a 30-year-old design build firm which maintains an extensive Lee Highway showroom.

Michael Nash is no stranger to awards for excellence in home remodeling. In recent years, the firm has won several prizes from the “Finest in Family Living” competition sponsored by the National Association of Homebuilders, and about a dozen Chrysalis awards from Qualified Remodeler Magazine, which assess the quality of remodeling projects in a nationwide contest.

More generally, Michael Nash ends the year by submitting work to the National Association of the Remodeling Industry's Washington, D.C. chapter, which has conferred its Contractor of the Year award on Michael Nash projects in one category or the other every year for 30 years. In fact, the full-service remodeler has amassed more Washington-area COTY awards than any company in the award's nearly 40-year history.

Among other things, the COTYs are designed to assess what the remodeler has accomplished within a specific budget range.

“The criteria works well for us,” says Sonny Nazemian, Michael Nash founder and CEO. “Our work culture is oriented towards outperforming the limits of the budget. Yes, you can point to an upscale celebrity bathroom in, say, Architectural Digest that's more luxuriant than anything we've done, but what the story doesn't reveal is that someone spent $200,000 on it. The COTY, by contrast, compares apples to apples, and we are good at stretching the size and quality of what can be achieved in a bathroom within a specific budget parameter.”

Part of this, the remodeler observes, is the design and technical back-up provided by the firm's 11,000-square-foot showroom. Nazemian places a premium on being able to sell finish work materials for close to cost.

Even so, the range of counter surfaces, cabinetry, flooring, plumbing fixtures, lighting solutions on display are without rival in Northern Virginia. Then, too, the company commits to a “fixed price” contract, which means that the quoted figure is binding even when there may be change orders.

The company's greatest value component is its talent pool. The top designers have been with the firm for a minimum of 12 years. There is always a professional in the showroom to talk through ideas with browsers when asked.

Some homeowners say they “discover” the core solution to a previously undeveloped design problem on the first visit. Others take their time, treating themselves to multiple visits, researching online and in magazines, then spending long afternoons in the showroom.

Premilla Raman falls into the later “patient and deliberate” category. Raman and her daughter spent hours poring over selected web sites and magazines – even talking with neighbors who had recently remodeled.

It was on a friend's recommendation that Premilla Raman wandered into the Michael Nash showroom, and began looking at full-sized displays and talking with staff designers.

“There are hundreds of samples; I could wander around on my own gathering ideas and taking notes. There was no sales pressure, but when I asked for feedback, I received immediate assistance and very relevant suggestions.”

Raman's vision called for converting a 210-square-foot production-house master bathroom in their four-bedroom Colonial into an open, free-flowing spa bath loaded with cutting-edge amenities. After occupying the house for 22 years, the Ramans – both seniors – were ready for luxury.

“In the previous floor plan, there was a platform tub in a bay window that absorbed about half of the available floor space, yet the shower was too small,” Premilla Raman recalls. “But once we starting looking at alternatives with the designer, we began to see the possibilities of a much more luxuriant space.”

Still, the larger question was how “successfully” can a dated production-house floor plan be transformed into a flowing postmodern design while sticking to the boundaries of the bathroom's existing footprint? For instance:

“We wanted a larger walk-in design that wouldn't require a built-in curb to keep the water in,” the homeowner remembers. “But weren't sure this was even possible.”

To meet these new requirements, the design team removed the platform tub and introduced a subfloor that raised the floor about an inch. The shower is now lower than before, and the subfloor bevels slightly toward a linear drain, eliminating the need for a built-in lip around the shower.

“Of course, this kind of change demands angles that are absolutely precise,” Nazemian explains. “Water is an absolute judge of whether a shower design works well.”

Tucked behind floor-to-ceiling glass walls, the new shower sits on river rock flooring that connects it visually to a freestanding pedestal tub. There's a small bench at one end, a hand-held shower nozzle within easy reach. Overhead, the stainless steel “waterfall” shower head proffers a range of body sprays with varied temperatures and pressures.

Window shades by Applause can be easily adjusted to screen back light.

For enhanced convenience and privacy, the former double sink has been replaced with a pair of floating vanities, each on a different wall.

Featuring espresso-colored maple and mission style cabinet facings and white quartz surfaces, the vanities present a clean, linear elegance in a room that is refreshingly simplified and spacious.

Is this the nation's prettiest new spa bath?

“We like it,” Premilla says. “Better yet, everything we were promised was delivered. That's a good feeling.”
