5 Bathroom Accessories Guaranteed to Impress your Guests

Read article : 5 Bathroom Accessories Guaranteed to Impress your Guests

The bathroom is upon which all homeowners are judged; if it’s anything less than spotless, shiny and comfortable, guests will throw their noses up in disgust and judge the owner of said bathroom (albeit silently, unless they’re really mean).

Bathroom AccesoriesImage Credit: www.bluehomedecor.com

Therefore, we should probably all pay a little bit more attention to making our bathrooms the best they can be. While for some this might mean tearing up their bathroom and starting again, renovating your bathroom can be as simple as installing one simple yet dazzling centrepiece accessory.

Here are five eye-catching bathroom accessories that are guaranteed to impress your guests.

Waterfall shower

There’s nothing quite like a tepid, low-power shower to dampen the spirits. Waterfall showers negate this problem somewhat, replacing the standard power shower head with a shower head that dispenses water in the manner of a waterfall.

There are two key reasons why a waterfall shower is impressive; the first is that it’s just like showering under a waterfall, which is bound to impress guests. The second is that they’re just so nice to look at – you could probably just leave the shower running and use it a bathroom water feature, if you don’t mind paying the earth in water bills and facing the judgement of environmentalists everywhere.

Heated towel rail

A towel rail isn’t much to look at, but the beauty of the heated towel rail isn’t purely cosmetic. Instead, the beauty of a heated towel rail lies in the experience of emerging from the shower to a crisp, warm towel – especially on a cold morning. Your guests will love you for it, and will probably want to shower at your place every day…

…Until they get their own, of course. Of all the items on this list, heated towel rails are the cheapest and the one accessory I’d consider an essential!

Demister mirrors

Bathroom mirrors tend to lack the opulence of other mirrors in the home, tending to favour function over fashion. A functional accessory can still be impressive, however, as is the case with demister mirrors.

The beauty of demister mirrors lies in their simplicity; using heated pads beneath the surface of the mirror, these mirrors combat the age old problem of a steamed up mirror after a shower. No more wiping the mirror with your hands to get a look at your freshly clean mug! Your guests will love it, and you will too.

Vessel sinks

Sinks aren’t the most impressive of objects, but even the most disinterested of sink sceptics (if such a person exists) would struggle not to be impressed with a vessel sink.

Vessel sinks are essentially mini-bath tubs that sit slightly raised from the surface (or even sit on the surface itself). While you might not find use for that much sink space on a regular basis, the sheer aesthetics of a vessel sink make it a must have for homeowners looking to impress.

Waterfall faucet

The smaller but perfectly-formed cousin of the waterfall shower, waterfall faucets are based on the same concept of making the water that comes from your taps look more natural in its flow. Most waterfall faucets take the form of a small joystick-esque tap in the centre of a chrome circle. This circle is surrounded by a larger class circle. Even if the novelty eventually wears off, a waterfall faucet is worth it for the first time a guest happens across it and wonders ‘what on Earth is that?!’

So those are five bathroom accessories guaranteed to get your guests talking. Got any more suggestions? Leave a comment below.

Pala Casino Resort & Spa Influencer Event

Read article : Pala Casino Resort & Spa Influencer Event
<a href=Pala Casino Resort & Spa Influencer Event" class="aligncenter" />

Recently, Bill and I traveled south to San Diego County to attend the Special Influencer Event at Pala Casino Resort and Spa. Today I am sharing details and favorite highlights from our stay and the influencer event.

Pala is located in San Diego County not far from Temecula, Temecula Wine Country and Fallbrook. We took a winding road though some beautiful canyons and groves of avocado trees to the Pala reservation.

This Four Diamond resort is a getaway destination for many throughout California and the Southwestern states. Pala offers a variety of options for guests from Las Vegas-style gaming, full-service spa, 11 restaurants, venues for live music, meeting space, shopping, and more.

Bill and I checked in the day before the event. Pala’s Social Media and PR Specialist, Erika, greeted us in front of the resort and showed us around the property. Our check in at the front desk went quickly and smoothly. Soon we were headed to our guest room.

Pala’s 507 guest rooms are over 500 square feet and offer mountain or pool views. We were on the 8th floor and had breathtaking views of the pool area and the Palomar Mountains. Each morning, the fog would hang over the mountain tops before the sun would slowly burn it off, making for another sunshine-filled day.

Our room was comfortable, spacious and had all the amenities I would expect from a Four Diamond Award Winning resort.

We were surprised with a big gift basket waiting for us in our room along with a dozen white long-stemmed roses.

PALA POOL

After we checked in and unpacked, we were ready for lunch. We decided to have a quick meal and a tropical cocktail at the pool. It was a lovely day, not a cloud in sight.

The pool area currently has 12 cabanas guests may rent. However, the pool will be closing this fall in order to make major changes and improvements. Next spring, the new pool area will be even more luxurious. I can’t wait to see the finished project.

PALA SPA

The 10,000 square-foot Pala Spa is located just across the lawn from the hotel and adjacent to the pool area.

It has a retail boutique, fitness center, spacious locker rooms – one for men and one women – with showers, steam rooms, dry sauna and indoor whirlpools. The spa has 14 treatment rooms and two Signature Spa Suites, which is where Bill and I were treated to a couples massage.

Our massage therapists gave us the option of an indoor massage experience or having our massages outdoors on the secluded patio. We opted for the patio. I loved the tranquil and somewhat tropical setting. We had Swedish massages and I have to say, my massage was the very best I have ever had. It was just the right pressure, the right amount of time and in such a perfect atmosphere.

After our 50-minute massages, we were told we had an hour to ourselves in the spa suite! The suite had a whirlpool bath for two, which was already filled and ready for us, along with a chilled bottle of local sparkling wine and heart-shaped chocolates. It was heavenly and so relaxing! The Pala Spa really knows how to pamper and spoil their guests.

LUIS REY’S

After our amazing massages we went up to our guest room to change for dinner. The friendly and helpful staff at Pala told us that Luis Rey’s, a casual outdoor/indoor lounge and bar that serves a variety of Mexican and California-style appetizers, serves $1 street tacos during happy hour. We’ve rarely met a street taco we didn’t want to devour and had to try one. It did not disappoint! If we didn’t already have dinner plans, I would have ordered another one…or three!

Soon Tamera Beardsley and her husband, Jeff who were also attending the influencer event, arrived. They checked in that afternoon and we arranged to meet for cocktails and dinner at Pala, just the four of us. I love spending time with Tamera. She is much more than a fellow blogger, she has become a dear and wonderful friend. I was so happy to have some time to catch up with her!

After drinks at Luis Rey’s we went to The CAVE for dinner. The CAVE has a restaurant and lounge, which is where we had dinner, as well as an underground wine cave that we would visit during the next day’s influencer event.

The CAVE restaurant has an impressive wine list that includes over 480 different wines and a Mediterranean style dinner menu that features a variety of tasty dishes from pastas, pizzas and flat breads to steaks and seafood. They also have a delicious selection of appetizers. We had a wonderful dinner and the service was impeccable and friendly.

What a fun evening we had with Tamera and Jeff!

SPECIAL INFLUENCER EVENT!

Meet and Greet at The CAVE

The next morning the influencer event got off the ground. We would have a full day of experiences at Pala ahead, which would conclude with an outdoor concert performance by UB40!

First, we went to The CAVE lounge for a meet and greet. Our event had a darling pineapple theme. We were treated to a selection of Hawaiian cuisine and tropical drinks – both with and without alcohol. The prawns served in tiny pineapple halves were my favorite. And I loved the cute little paper straws with pineapple print.

Fellow influencers, along with their guests, trickled in and soon we had amassed quite a crowd of people! I always enjoy meeting new people so it was fun to chat with some of the other bloggers and influencers.

After spending some time taking photos with Tamera in front of the striped Pala backdrop and having one more prawn in a pineapple, we got ready to take our group to the casino floor. We would competing in a slot tournament!

Slot Tournament

We were divided into groups of about 10 then each assigned to a slot machine. For three minutes we did our best to rack up points by pressing button and tapping the screen. It was a fast-paced and fun contest and most of us had tired hands by the time three minutes was up. Neither Bill nor I won any prizes but we still had a blast!

I got a chance to meet and chat with Dawn Lucy of Fashion Should Be Fun who also attended the event. She was with her friend Rachel. They were both such a kick and I am so glad I got to hang out with them.

Pala Underground Cave

After our slot tournament concluded, it was time to eat again! Our large group of about 30 people was divided into two. Our group would go to The CAVE’s Underground Cave first for wine tasting and appetizers.

I was so impressed with the wines in the wine cave. Some of Napa Valley’s finest wines were featured including Far Niente and Joseph Phelps, as well as numerous Italian and French wines.

We enjoyed some local wines from Temecula wine country along with lots of nibbles that were passed around throughout our visit to the wine cave.

Pala Underground Cave also offers live entertainment on select nights as well as top shelf spirits and craft beer.

The Oak Room

Next we made our way to The Oak Room for a fine dining experience. This elegant restaurant is a world-class steak and seafood house with an extensive wine list, knowledgeable waitstaff and beautiful ambiance.

We were introduced to Oak Room’s sommelier, who led us through a food and wine pairing. The food and the wine were phenomenal, definitely meeting the high standards we have here in Sonoma and Napa. Chef Yee Thomas Feng also came to our table to tell us about the food we enjoyed. What a treat the Oak Room was for this wine and food lover – from start to finish!

Pala Casino

As part of the influencer event, we were each given $50 in casino play, which I turned into $160! I have always been partial to the poker machines and was thrilled to hit a four of a kind.

Having spent my childhood in Las Vegas, I know a thing or two about casinos. Pala Casino is very much a Las Vegas-style casino. They have 2,000 state-of-the-art slot and video machines, 80 table games, and a poker room. They also had live music going on every time we walked through the casino area.

Later that night we attended the outdoor UB40 concert. It was the perfect clear night for a concert and the music sounded great. What fun! Pala has a packed calendar of well-known bands and performers. One of my favorite singers, Olivia Newton-John, will be performing there in October.

The next morning, we packed up our things then met our influencer group for breakfast in one Pala’s meeting spaces. We enjoyed a tasty breakfast buffet, then said our farewells.

I definitely recommend Pala Casino Resort & Spa as a destination getaway to have fun, enjoy fantastic food, wine and cocktails as well as live music. Treat yourself to a phenomenal massage and try your hand at the slots and tables, if you like. There is a wide variety of activities and amenities to experience at Pala – something for everyone!

Disclosure: Our stay at Pala Casino Resort and Spa was complimentary as part of our participation in the Influencer Event. All opinions expressed here are, as always, my own.

Yacht Charter Description

Luxury motor yacht SHERAKHAN is one of the most impressive superyachts available for charter. Superyacht SHERAKHAN’S luxury interior décor and layout works very well to give a feeling of grandeur and comfort. The added extras such as the glass bottom Spa Pool and the themed cabins make this yacht one of the very best available for charter. She is available in the Caribbean and Mediterranean Seas and also cruises further a field offering some once in a life time adventure charters. M/Y SHERRAKAN is presently seriously considering cruising to Patagonia for the Antarctic winter. In 2014 Sherakhan underwent a refit at ICON Yachts.
<a href=Motor Yacht SHERAKHAN" title="Motor Yacht SHERAKHAN" width="680" style="border: 0px;" />

M/Y SHERAKHAN is the culmination of a dream for her owner. Whether it be the luxury dining room for 22 guests with its massive 7m Atrium bathed in natural light filtered down through the glass bottomed Spa Pool. (Seating 18) or the Joy of standing in the lookout house perched above the sundeck a massive 20m above the water line. Suites range from 30-50 square meters and are impressive for their decor, style and of course sheer size.

A note by the designer…

Main Deck:

Once you set foot on the gangway, you will be surprised by the beautiful details, the enormous deck areas, astonishing woodwork and the incredible choice of outside furniture! We are sure you have never experienced a view as marvelous as the one from the look-out house. The Spa Pool is very big (18 people)and of course we have a complete B.B.Q. area

When you finally come inside, you will be surprised by the beam of the yacht. The main saloon is about 20 meters long and 9 meters wide. The style is cozy and, what we think is the most important, homely. Every single guest on MY Sherakhan must immediately have the feeling that this is their home and can relax the way they want!

The main saloon is visually divided into two areas;
On one side we find the dining area; with a beautiful table, where 22 people can be seated. On both sides of the dining table there are 2 impressive stairs which will lead you to the owner’s deck. When you sit at the dining table and look up, you will be impressed by the atrium. You can look completely to the roof of the yacht where the Spa Pool with glass bottom is situated. The enormous chandelier is of course specially designed for this area of 7 meters of height.

The other side of the saloon is furnished to relax. Nice cozy couches, homely armchairs, enormous vases, a fireplace, a flat screen television, a bar where you can sit down to enjoy your drinks and of course a little podium with a white grand piano. Although the area is big, you will never have the chance to feel “lost”. From this area you have a nice view on the aft deck where the outside dining table is situated.

When you walk through this area and pass the dining table, you will enter the vestibule. Here you can choose to go down to the beauty saloon and the suites on the accommodation deck or even go to the fitness-massage, sauna and Spa Pool on the lower deck. When you go straight on from the vestibule, you will first meet the ladies room on one side and on the other side the library. After passing a door, you will come to the corridor on which at either side 2 spacious suites are situated. All four of them have sizes like 38 square meters with an en-suite bathroom which have baths and showers as well. (The size of 38 m2 is only the suite; it does not include the bathroom!)

The suites:

Our feeling about a big yacht is that also the suites must be large! When guests want to have some privacy, not only during the night…, they must experience all the luxury of a 5 star accommodation and of course be surrounded by a nice furnished and decorated ambiance.
All the double beds are king size. All suites are equipped with a television, DVD, stereo, mini bar, safe, air-conditioning/ heating, a vanity table/desk, a computer point, relaxing chairs, saloon table, a very spacious walk-in closet, bathroom with toilet, bidet, bath (Spa Pool), double basin and shower. On the art impression you have some idea of the style which will be fitted in these areas. The way the woodwork is done, is astonishing! Nice and with unexpected details…..

Accommodation deck:

On the accommodation deck, you will find 4 suites. The smallest will be 34 m2 and the biggest 37,3 m2. They will be fitted just like all the others. Of course there will be differences in colors and decorations, but not in luxury! You also will find a children’s themed cabin, (Only designed for children! So no access for people above the age of 13! Little people also have the right to have their own party…….) and a security cabin. These cabins are connected with the 2 suites next door, but can also be used completely separately.

The last area of importance on this deck is the beauty saloon.
The beauty saloon is also fully equipped hair- and nail studio. So the guests can be pampered as much as they want!

Lower deck:

When you walk down the stairs, at the end of the corridor on the accommodation deck, you will enter a world of body pleasure! First take a drink at the bar to get used to the idea of exercise, then some fitness on the most modern equipment, followed by a well-deserved massage, going into the sauna to give your body the most precious rest and end up in the Spa Pool to cool down! What more can a person wish for…..?

Apart from all the equipment available here, the area in which this is situated is a feast for the eyes. Because of its location, completely in the front of the ship, below decks, the area is build like an American loft. Something like this hasn’t been shown before, fantastic mosaics will amaze you.

Owners deck:

We leave this deck and follow our “tour” to the saloon on the owners deck. The one you can reach from the vestibule on the main deck or with the stairs besides the dining table. When you come by the 2 enormous stairs, your attention will be attracted by the spectacular view down on the dining table. There is a vacant space of 6 meters long and 3 meters wide! In this way, the areas are not completely separated but in a creative way connected with each other. The saloon is further furnished with exclusive and comfortable chairs, a bar with an integrated piano and a dance floor for the people who cannot control their feet! During the day time, this area will be quite popular! It is great for reading and relaxing when the sun is too hot or having a drink or playing some chess. During the night this saloon will be perfect for having swinging cocktails before dinner. In the meantime the crew can set a wonderful decorated table and the guests will be surprised when they walk down the stairs to enjoy their dinner!

Besides the saloon, this deck contains 2 suites of 31 m2 and 1 Master Cabin of almost 51 m2! This deck is completely outfitted for the owner with a huge study. Like the name reveals, this will be a Masterpiece! Located completely in the front of the ship, with an amazing view over the sea, this cabin has even its own terrace! The major Spa Pool will be in the middle of the room, apart from the bathroom. The special effect of this cabin must be seen to be believed!

The outer deck on the owners deck will have comfortable chairs, footstools and even table lamps for the people who want be outside at night and enjoy a good book or just want to sit in silence and enjoy the stars………
On every outer deck there will be music, when wanted.

Wheelhouse-deck:

The last deck is the wheelhouse deck. You can reach this deck from the corridor on the owners deck or from outside. On this deck the wheelhouse is situated, but the most important of all……..the Spa Pool, loads of deck chairs, a bar, a B.B.Q. area, shade for the burnt ones and of course the look-out house!!!! Between the 2 funnels, we created a real look-out house. Once you are up there, you will be taken by surprise!!! The height of this location will be 20 meters above the waterline, so you can easily imagine what sort of view you can have up there! A 360° view for the star watchers; this is the ultimate spot…

2014 Refit

In 2014 ICON Yachts were commissioned to refit the impressive 1945 Gross Tonnage luxury mega yacht Sherakhan. She received a new exterior paint system and new generators. During her brief visit to the ICON yard she underwent a thorough systems service and maintenance campaign. The project was managed by Verkerk Yachting Projects.

Work has ground to halt on Beckhams' £6m country mansion

Read article : Work has ground to halt on Beckhams' £6m country mansion

With seven different mechanical diggers standing abandoned and builders downing tools on an estate churned into a mud bath, this is the David and Victoria Beckham's new £6 million country pile, months behind schedule after ongoing rows with council planning bosses.

Work has moved at a snail's pace on Cotswolds triple-barn conversion all year after elaborate plans were blocked by planning officers and new ones were drawn up only to be bound up in bureaucratic red tape.

The couple and their four children had hoped to move into the nine-bedroom home this summer but have instead spent recent weeks at their home in Los Angeles and now may not move in for the remainder of the year.

These are first aerial shots of the house, which was bought in the new year from landowner Nicholas Johnston, an Old Etonian friend of David Cameron.

The triple-barn is joined at its north end by two glass-walled walkways - called 'Link Pavilions' in plans - to make the shape of a capital letter 'E'.

The shape of the triple barn allows for two eighty-feet-wide square courtyards within - one to the east and the ther to the west.

Architects seem to have gone to extraordinary lengths to persuade council planners that their plans do not adversely affect the environment.

The Beckhams had been desperate for a huge swimming pool but have had to settle for proposing a 'natural swimming pond' within one of the courtyards so that it is not visible from the public road running nearby.

Similarly they wanted an elaborate outside seating and partying area in the other courtyard but have had to instead propose a 'temporary' 10-feet-wide wooden pergola which can be removed when necessary.

The Beckhams have also employed top-end gardeners to design an English country garden surrounding the house - at vast expense - with a mixture of bought-in mature trees, plants and shrubs fitting in character with the local environment.

The list of shipped in mature trees has is costing thousands of pounds and includes 23 evergreen oaks, seven white oaks, eight cherry trees, a plum tree, nine apple trees, three holly trees, nine witch hazels and a maple.

Within the eastern courtyard, a trendy 'natural swimming pond' is awaiting council approval to be sunk into the ground.

Green light: The latest plans for Upper Park Farm in Chipping Norton have been given the go ahead, meaning the couple's £6million triple-barn conversion will soon have a natural heated eco pool and a shade-giving timber pergola

Until the council gives final approval for the lavish plans on the site, the numerous diggers remain at a virtual standstill

It is also not a very long drive from Soho Farmhouse, the exclusive members' country club where Prince Harry took Meghan Markle for a romantic break

At the moment and for the past few months, this area has just been a vast expanse of mud, as pictures show.

The proposed pool measures 41 feet by 24 feet and is just 4'7' inches deep meaning David himself, who measures 5'11' will only be able to be covered in water up to his chest when standing on the bottom. It certainly will not be deep enough to dive into.

The natural pool is chemical free, using a natural bio-filtration system consisting of mains water phosphorous pre-treatment. All equipment is contained in an equipment room under the tallet steps on the gable end of the east wing.

Architects have apparently been bending over backwards to win approval from council planners as the construction of the pergola in the west courtyard seems to show.

In the East Courtyard, it is proposed that the timber pergola will be constructed within the west courtyard formed between the newly reconstructed north wing and link pavilion, and the grade II listed central wing.

This simple timber structure measuring approximately 43 feet by 10 feet will provide support for climbing plants and provide shade for an outdoor seating area.

Architects seem at pains to clarify that: 'The structure is lightweight and can easily be removed in the future and as such could be considered to be reversible. The proposed pergola is freestanding is not connected to the listed buildings or rely on support from them in any way.'

Until the council gives final approval, the diggers remain at a virtual standstill.

The architect's proposal seems almost desperate in its efforts to persuade council planners to agree.

The architect's summary to planners reads: 'The proposed development does not alter the historic fabric of the listed building in any way. The proposed landscape scheme is less formal than the current approved and part implemented scheme, and more sympathetic to the heritage of (the original house), and as such provides a modest enhancement of the setting of the listed building.

In June of this year, the Beckhams applied to <a href=West Oxfordshire District Council for permission to make more changes to their original scheme, including changing the tiles on the roof and details of windows" class="blkBorder img-share" />

David and Victoria Beckham are currently living in Los Angeles while they wait for their lavish new Cotswolds home to be completed

In conclusion, the architect states: 'The proposed development is of high quality design, materials and layout appropriate to the location and setting adjacent to the grade II listed Park Farm Barn. Both the proposed new outbuilding and driveway are well screened by the proposed site-wide landscaping scheme, mitigating any harmful visual impact on the wider landscape and setting.

'As the landscaping matures the visual impact will be significantly reduced. It is hoped that West Oxfordshire District Council Officers will be able to support the proposed development. I look forward to receiving the application acknowledgement shortly and trust the allocated case officer will not hesitate to contact me should there be any queries regarding the proposal.'

In addition, in June of this year, the Beckhams applied to West Oxfordshire District Council for permission to make more changes to their original scheme, including changing the tiles on the roof and details of windows.

The application stated: 'It is proposed that the blue slates to the roofs of the newly rebuilt linking ranges are replaced with … stone slates to match those now in place on the listed barn and the east and west ranges.

'It is proposed that two metal flues be added to the west range to serve a new fireplace and kitchen extract and it is proposed that the approved metal windows and glazed doors be replaced by metal 'Critall' style windows and solid timber plank doors. These changes are considered to be sympathetic to the character of former utilitarian agricultural buildings.'

The application says that the windows and doors are the same as those used in a very nearby restoration of a Grade II listed building, as is the Beckhams' new house, which was approved by the council's planners.

Land Registry documents also disclose Posh and Becks paid £6.15 million for the swanky barn conversion.

Renovations started on the estate in February. They enlisted the help of top architect and 'development designer' Michael Ergatoudis, who works for Soho House. Publicly available plans show that Soho House get the veto over all fixtures and fittings. However soon afterwards work began, it appeared to come to a halt.

In April, David and Victoria applied to the local council for permission to reslate one of the roofs to create the 'unified' look they desire as the tile colours didn't match.

In July, a new application to the council asked for permission to change the roofs on outbuildings to thatched rather than tiled covering.

The nine-bedroom pile — joining up three separate buildings with two new glass extensions — sits in acres of rolling countryside near Chipping Norton.

Scenery...and security! The bill for the construction is estimated at £1.8 million but is set to be double that with a state-of-the <a href=art security system being fitted around the property" class="blkBorder img-share" />

It is also not a very long drive from Soho Farmhouse, the exclusive members' country club where Prince Harry took Meghan Markle for a romantic break.

Landowner Nicholas Johnston, who sold the barn to the Beckhams, owns the Great Tew estate in Oxfordshire, where he hosts the Chipping Norton set's annual Cornbury 'Poshstock' music festival.

Johnston already had permission to renovate the Cotswolds property and it seems the Beckhams are happy to go along with his plans.

These include the construction of two mezzanine galleries, which could be used to house their collection of Banksy and Damien Hirst creations. They have also applied to build a swimming pool, a pergola, a 20-metre croquet lawn, a fruit orchard comprising apple, pear and plum trees and two vegetable patches.

Soho House, owned by Nick Jones, is said to be overseeing the renovations for the couple.

Beckham, 42, and Victoria, 43, who already own a £31 million West London home, have been very strict with the builders, banning mobile phones on site.

There have been rumours for some time of David and Victoria's plans to move to the country with their family. Shortly after their wedding in 1991, the couple bought a sprawling house in Hertfordshire – dubbed Beckingham Palace by some – but sold it in 2014.

David, in particular, always looks at home in the country. He is a keen angler and there are plenty of fishing lakes in the Cotswolds area. There are also ample opportunities for David to sample a pint or two. 'I love going to pubs in the countryside, or to my local pub, where everyone knows me and I don't get bothered,' he has said.

The Beckhams will likely keep their four-storey Holland Park mansion in London, as the children's school and Victoria's fashion empire are based in the city.

Soho Farmhouse is a popular with the Beckhams. It is a popular spot celebrities and branded 'Hotel Smug' and 'Butlin's for Toffs' by critics.

On the 100-acre site of a former farm it comprises 40 purpose-built cabins, refurbished cottages and honeystone barns stuffed with every modern convenience, including bars, spas and even a cheese room.

The back-to-nature retreat is where guests can have their mojitos and custom-cured charcuterie delivered to their door in retro milk floats, and join early morning yoga sessions on surfboards.

Guests at this rural idyll are issued on arrival with wellington boots and Foffa bicycles, the two-wheeled steed of choice of fashionable Londoners, while their 4x4s are whisked carefully out of sight.

David and Samantha Cameron were said to be the last ones on the dancefloor during the opening bash last year.

This former working farm, complete with 40 log cabins with rustic metal bathtubs, Le Creuset cookware and larders stocked with artisan food, is an offshoot of Soho House, the exclusive London private members' club for media types.

It may have only opened last year, but it has already amassed an impressive guest list.

Supermodels have been hitting the dance floor with Oscar-winning actors. And sealing its reputation as the place to be seen, DJ Mark Ronson hired the entire estate for his 40th birthday celebrations on Thursday, with parties continuing through the weekend.

Guests are ferried to their luxury cabin on a reconditioned milk float while sipping on a refreshing beverage.

Or they can choose to ride one of the estate's 11 ponies, or hop on a retro Foffa bike, painted in Soho Farmhouse's signature teal blue, complete with wicker basket.

Others who have partied there include Princess Eugenie, Prince Harry's ex-girlfriend Cressida Bonas, Eddie Redmayne, Poppy Delevingne, actress Liv Tyler, Pixie Geldof, Jemima Khan, Mary Charteris and rapper Professor Green.

However Cotswolds locals have become increasingly annoyed in recent months with the constant stream of 4X4s hurtling long the single-track country roads leading to the trendy members club.

Residents took to the internet to complain to planning officials after the upmarket getaway applied for permission to build 10 new 'pods' in the style of pig sties to house an extra 40 bedrooms.

A decision is still pending but one irate horse rider wrote: 'They come out of Soho Farmhouse, in their shiny, fast cars and drive like maniacs.

'I have had cars behind rev their engines, beep, pass so close to my horse that I could have touched the car if I had reached out, but it's mainly the speed they fly around these little lanes.

'It's going to kill someone, be it a horse rider, walker, or cyclist.'

Another neighbour complained to the local council: 'The guests overtake, rev up and speed like boy racers. This is totally unacceptable behaviour.'

The rider added that the area was now 'not safe' for people on horses as they were being 'forced to mount verges', while traffic-calming measures were not working.

She added: 'The new people using Soho are enjoying their playground and totally ruining our peaceful countryside, not to mention the rudeness we are subjected to.
