Maax Inc. of Sainte-Marie-de-Beauce, Que., has agreed to buy a small Netherlands company that makes acrylic bathroom products such as shower trays, bathtubs and steam cabins. SaniNova BV has 55 employees and a projected fiscal 2001 revenue of $31-million. It sells the products in its home country, Germany, Austria and Britain. Maax said the acquisition will raise its revenue to about $535-million in fiscal 2001. The bathroom fixture maker added it is looking for other European firms to buy.
