Things You'll Need
Allen wrench
Remove the stem from the brass mixing valve with a pair off pliers, rotating it counterclockwise. You won't be able to see the mixing valve, since it is behind the wall, but it is what the stem sits in.
Stem Installation Insert the new stem into the Delta shower's brass mixing valve. Set clip that holds the stem in place. Set the handle back on the stem, securing it in place by tightening the Allen screw on the bottom of the handle. \ \ \ {! } !}\ \
